Pikafish is a free, open-source Xiangqi (Chinese chess) AI engine for analyzing Xiangqi positions, and it is currently the strongest Xiangqi AI engine.
Pikafish is derived from the chess engine Stockfish and inherits its GPL-3.0 open-source license. Its basic search framework is Alpha-Beta pruning, and its search algorithm is PVS (Principal Variation Search), a variant of alpha-beta pruning. For evaluation it uses a neural network with the NNUE architecture. Pikafish computes on the CPU and has nothing to do with the graphics card.
Pikafish has no GUI, so you need to download a GUI separately, or download an all-in-one package. For download and usage instructions on each computer and mobile system, see Download Pikafish. Also note that the official Pikafish releases may not support Windows 7 (builds you compile yourself with gcc can) or 32-bit systems.
Be careful with claims that "Pikafish is paid"
Or ask exactly what it is that you are paying for. Generally, a Xiangqi GUI or computing power may cost money (for example cloud computing services, or some paid GUIs), but Pikafish is only an engine, and the Pikafish engine is absolutely free. In addition, some commercial engines are copies of Pikafish, so please be cautious about commercial engines.
