How do I load Pikafish in a UCCI GUI (such as XiangQi Wizard)?

Pikafish itself does not support the UCCI protocol (because being compatible with it causes some problems), so a proxy program is needed. The proxy converts Pikafish's UCI protocol to the UCCI protocol, and also converts the UCCI commands sent by the GUI into the corresponding UCI commands.

The proxy can be downloaded from the XiangQi Wizard website (source code).

pikafish-proxy.exe (located in the installation directory) is the proxy program; select this file when loading the engine.

If you don't want to use the opening book bundled with XiangQi Wizard, you can delete the BOOK.DAT file.

If you want to use another version of Pikafish, you can replace pikafish-sse41-popcnt.exe with the version you want, and copy the NNUE file over along with it.
